Webkinz!

Okay - so we have heard about Webkinz occassionally for a few months, but had no idea what a HUGE hit they would be with the boys. If you don't know what Webkinz are - they are a little stuffed animal that comes with a special code that you enter on the Webkinz site that allows you to adopt them and create a virtual world for them. You have to feed them, buy them things to decorate their room and a lot of other things. You get 'kinzCash' by plaing games. As you can see our boys are obssesed with them. (You can also invite other users to come visit your 'room'). Blake and Landon love to invite each other over online. I am amazed with how intrigued they are with something so simple, but they love it and it make them happy. This is where Landon adopted his Reindeer from Santa (named: Reindeery) and Blake adopted his Husky (named: Bolt).

Landon's Gift

Landon made these handpainted coasters at school for us. Marcie and I loved them.

Our dog Sugar loves to cuddle with Blake.

Blake opening gifts

Here are a few pictures of Blake opening his presents - with each present that he opened - he exclaimed - "Wow! I have always wanted one of these!" He was very emphatic about it - it was cute.

Christmas Breatfast

Marcie made my favorites for Christmas breakfast. She made a cinnamon pull apart bread, sausage and egg cassarole and bacon. The boys loved the bacon. They like to refer to it as 'birthday bacon'. (From when we made bacon for Marcie's birthday).

Playing with Santa's present

Santa also brought the boys a trampoline. Luckily it was in the mid-60s on Christmas and it was in the high 70s today - so the boys have had a lot of time to play on the trampoline both day and into the evening.

Christmas Morning

The boys wanted Webkinz from Santa - Landon got a reindeer from Santa and Blake a Husky dog (or "Bolt" as he thinks it is).

Blake was very excited - luckily he slept in until 7am. He came down and woke us up and jumped in our bed and said with wide eyes - "Santa came!" He ran back upstairs to wake Landon up. As you can see - it took a few minutes for Landon to wake up. He took a rest half way down the stairs.

Christmas Story

The boys made sure we remembered the tradition we started with my family while living close to them in Utah - acting out the Christmas story. Blake was Joesph, Landon was the angel and a shepherd and Marcie was Mary. We were short on actors so we had to use Shamu.
