Hail
This morning we had some hail.
My car was outside and has some minor dents in it from all of the hail.

Quotes from the boys
Landon:
One night recently at the dinner table Marcie asked Landon what his favorite part of the day was. He thought for a moment and told his mom:
"My favorite part of the day is loving you!"
Blake:
When we were at Marcie's parents house for Christmas, Blake was trying to pedal on thier exercise bike. I asked Blake if he was exercising on the stationary bike. He said:
"I am not exercising - I am not a girl!"
We think it is because Marcie goes to the gym during the day and Blake see a lot of girls exercising.

How to cook a turkey
In Landon's Kindergarten class, he was asked by his teacher how to cook a Thanksgiving Turkey. His teacher emailed us his response.
Kindergarteners Tell How to Make a Thanksgiving Turkey
By Mrs. French’s Class 2007-2008
Landon: Cut off the feet. Put it in the oven for eight minutes. I don’t know what spices to put on it because I’ve never cooked one before. And I like pumpkin pie—I just don’t like the pie part.
Here are a few other clever responses:
Matthew: Get the turkey at a store like Wal-Mart. Decorate it when you get it home—put some stuff on there like candy. You have to cook it because my mom said to. When it’s done, I’d eat it with my sister and brother. I like it with barbeque sauce.
Lauren: Go to Market Street for the turkey. Put it in a pan and turn on the stove. Cook it for five minutes with candy. Put it on a plate before you eat it.
Neil: Go get a turkey and put feathers on it. Put it in the oven for five minutes. Don’t cook it with anything else, but you can put salt and pepper on it. I like turkey the best!
Karsyn: You can get the turkey from a farm. Put it in a pan and put it in the oven. Cook it with salt to make it taste good. You can leave it in for thirty hours. When you take it out, you can eat it with ham.
Ethan: My dad was an Indian once and he shooted one. Cook it five minutes in a pan. Put a top on it before it goes in the oven. Leave it there for five more minutes. You can eat it with salt and a fork.
Cameron: I would buy it at Wal-Mart and then ask my mom how to cook it because I don’t actually know. I think I would put it in the oven and cook it…I don’t know how long. You can eat it with salt on it, though.

Tag #2
My cousin Trish tagged me with this one.
A. Each player has to list 6 facts/habits about themselves
B. At the end of the post, the player tags 3 people and posts their names
1. My forehead is so big that I have to have bangs. I think I get it from my mom's side of the family.
2. I thought it was funny that both Trish and Marji said they love to read. I'm not sure if I love to read so much as I love to "collect" books; I go to Barnes and Nobles, Borders, Half Price Books, or Amazon.com and buy 3 to 4 books at a time that I want to read. Then they just sit in my house, all lonely, waiting for someone to read them. I am really bad about the classics. I feel I should read them, so I buy them and they just sit there...
3. I've let my kids eat candy for breakfast before, (it was just Halloween, after all). I figure there are worst things I could be doing as a mom than that!
4. Even though I love our little 7-pound Border terrier/Yorkie mix, if I could, (without causing major issues within my marriage) I would also have a 100plus-pound Newfoundland in the house. And a cat, too.
5. I'm a democrat. I converted in my early twenties and have never regretted it.
6. I've never been outside of the United States. We lived in Alaska when I was little, so I've flown over Canada a couple of times. And I visited Tijuana for an afternoon, but I don't think that counts!
Okay, now I tag my sister-in-law, Danielle, my sister-in-law, Kristy, and my cousin, Heather. :)
