Landon's Birthday...Just a Little Bit Late
We decided to go low key this year for birthdays...they can get really crazy, expensive, and stressful! So, we just had Landon invite a few of his close friends to go with us to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid, then come back to our house for Mr. Jim's Pizza, cake, and some time to play. It turned out really well. Ofcourse, all the boys loved the movie. They had all read the books.
It was a great day. I still cannot believe Landon is eight.
Mothers Day Tea
Blake is fortunate to go to the best preschool in the world. It is just a wonderful place. You walk in the door, and you just feel good. It radiates learning and happiness and laughter. I am very sad that we won't be going there much longer.
Blake's teacher, Ms. Betsy, hosted a Mothers Day Tea party the Thursday before Mothers Day. The moms got to come to a lovely brunch, and our little ones served us muffins, fruit salad, and drinks. It was just adorable.
Ms. Betsy emphasized the idea of serving our mothers, teaching the kids to serve us food at the tea party, and she said, hopefully that desire to serve would follow them home. And it has, for now at least. Blake has been the best little helper, putting throw pillows back on the couches, putting shoes back in the basket in the closet, it's been great.
Here are a few pictures from the tea party. After eating, the kids sang to us and gave us our presents.
