The Boys Playing the Wii.

More pictures from last post...

Landon's Birthday

Landon's actual birthday was the Tuesday after his party. We celebrated by going to eat lunch with him at school, (we brought him Sonic). We also brought cupcakes for his class. Jeff even came to lunch with us. That evening, Landon's school had their open house. Landon was very excited to be our "tour guide" and show us around his classroom. After the open house, we came home, and Landon opened his presents from us. We got him a Wii. It isn't just for him, of course! We were planning on getting one, and the timing worked out for his birthday. Here are some pictures from the day.

Blake's Reading Time

Here are some pictures I snapped of Blake the other day while Landon was at school, and Daddy was at work. Isn't he cute reading in his window seat?

Landon's Birthday Party

We had Landon's birthday party on Saturday. It was a lot of fun. We invited friends from school and church, and we had a great turn-out. Landon was so excited to have so many of his friends here at the house. The theme of the party was Star Wars, of course! We played some fun games - musical pillows, instead of musical chairs, and pin the buttons on Darth Vader. The kids also got to go "fishing" for goodie bags. After cake and presents, we went to the backyard and the kids got to knock around a Darth Vader pinata. It really was so fun. All the kids were so well behaved. I cannot believe how well it went! But, Jeff and I were so tired when it was over. Here are some pictures from the big day!

Dallas Stars Game

Jeff's super great boss payed for everyone in the company's families to go to a Stars game on Saturday night. The boys had such a blast. This was the boys' fourth hockey game since we moved here, so they knew what to expect. Along with the tickets, we also got to have "all you can eat" passes to the snack bar. Landon had three servings of nachos!!!! Blake enjoyed the hotdogs and the cotton candy the best. (It was a very healthy night! ha.)

We parked my car at a park and ride in Plano and rode the DART, which is the rapid transit train in the Dallas area, down to the American Airlines Center, where the game was. We had a good time on the train. Landon knew we had fifteen stops until we were suppose to get off, and he counted and kept track of each one. He wanted to make sure we didn't miss our stop. It was so cute!!!

Here are some pictures of our super fun night. (The last picture is of the boys and I singing "Itsy, Bitsy Spider". Just in case you were wondering what we were doing with our arms!)

Only in Texas!

Monday night, we went to bed to a winter wonderland.

Tuesday morning, we woke up to several inches of snow. Landon and Blake were so excited! They got dressed in warm clothes and coats and went straight outside to play. Unfortunately, we could not get gloves for the boys - the winter gear is all in a rubbermaid in the garage that we couldn't reach. So, they would play for a little while, get cold, come inside, warm up, go back out again. It was really cute. Landon's school had a two-hour delay, so the boys had plenty of time to play in the morning. This turned out to be very fortunate because all of the snow had melted by the time Blake and I picked Landon up from school in the afternoon.

And then today, the weather was absolutely beautiful...in the 70's! You would never have known the yard was covered in snow just the day before!!!

Pizza Makers

We let the boys create their own pizzas on Saturday night for dinner. Jeff took some pictures of the masterpieces. Aren't they cute?

More from Valentines Day

After Landon's party, we signed Landon out of school early. We came home and let the boys open their presents from Jeff and I. We gave them some new books. Landon received a book about rainbows because they've been studying rainbows and the color spectrum in school. He loves the book and is trying to read it to Blake at night. Blake received a new Sandra Boynton book. You can never go wrong with her books for little kids. All of her books are so cute and easy to read. This one was about counting.

Valentines Day Party

Jeff, Blake, and I went to Landon's Valentines Day Party at his school. He seemed to have a lot of fun. He really enjoyed looking at all of his cards and goodies from his classmates.
